“I imagined being a famous writer would be like being like Jane Austen.”- J.K.Rowling
I am finally relaunching a book blog, having taken a break from the blogging world for quite some time. When I initially launched a blog, I was in college and devotedly posted because I enjoyed the thrill of throwing together words to try and elegantly get my point across. Perhaps many can relate, eventually my personal life disastrously got in the way of my true passions: reading and writing. My emotional slump pushed me into a blog writing hiatus.
About a month ago I joined the Bookstagram community, following hard on the heels of finishing a full draft of a novel I’d written. I’ve wanted to be a writer since I was twelve years old and I know that my love of writing and the need I’ve always felt to share my own stories stems from the enjoyment I get out of reading. Truly, there is no truer friend than a good book.
This quote from J.K. Rowling truly resonates with me as both a reader and a writer. As I begin the process of finding my blogging voice once again, I hope that my readers will take enjoyment from the book reviews I post and maybe even feel inspired to pick up said book afterwards.
